HINCKLEY, Minn. — Authorities in Pine County are investigating a fatal shooting that left 56-year-old Brian Halverson dead late Saturday night in the city of Hinckley. The incident has triggered a multi-agency investigation as officials work to determine exactly what led to the deadly encounter.
According to the Pine County Sheriff’s Office, the county’s 911 Communications Center received a report of a shooting at approximately 11:15 p.m. on May 3. Deputies and emergency personnel were immediately dispatched to the 3900 block of Government Road after the call came in.
When responders arrived at the scene, they found Halverson suffering from a serious gunshot wound. Emergency crews quickly began life-saving measures in an attempt to stabilize him. Despite their efforts, officials confirmed that Halverson was pronounced dead at the scene.
