MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A late-night shooting in Memphis has left one man dead and a woman in critical condition, according to the Memphis Police Department. The violent incident occurred just after midnight and has left investigators working urgently to determine what led to the deadly encounter.
Police say officers were dispatched shortly after midnight to the 800 block of Hamilton Street near Douglass Avenue after receiving reports of gunfire in the area. When officers arrived, they found two people suffering from gunshot wounds, prompting an immediate emergency response.
