23-Year-Old Motorcyclist Logan Zeigler killed in fatal Crash in Loveland

A tragic crash in Loveland has claimed the life of a 23-year-old motorcyclist, leaving the community in mourning as authorities continue investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision. The incident occurred during the early morning hours at a busy intersection, drawing a significant emergency response.

According to the Loveland Police Department, the crash happened just before 8:00 a.m. on April 16 at the intersection of Highway 402 and County Road 7. Preliminary findings indicate that Logan Zeigler, a 23-year-old Loveland resident, was riding a Suzuki GSX motorcycle eastbound when the collision occurred.

Investigators say a GMC Acadia, driven by a 47-year-old woman from Greeley, was traveling westbound on Highway 402 and attempted to make a left turn onto County Road 7. As the SUV entered the intersection, it crossed into the path of the oncoming motorcycle, resulting in a violent crash.

The impact ejected Zeigler from the motorcycle, and despite the quick response of emergency personnel, he sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the GMC Acadia was injured in the collision and transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Authorities noted that speed may have been a contributing factor in the crash, though the investigation remains ongoing. Officials also stated that neither drugs nor alcohol are believed to have played a role in the incident, based on preliminary findings.

Due to the severity of the crash, the department’s Collision Reconstruction and Scene Handling Team took over the investigation. The roadway remained closed for several hours as crews processed the scene. As the community reflects on the loss, officials have extended condolences to those affected, reminding the public of the lasting impact such tragedies leave behind.
