A deadly shooting in Chicago has left a 44-year-old man dead after gunfire erupted at a fast-food drive-thru in the middle of the day. The violent incident has shaken the community, as many struggle to understand how such an attack could happen in a public place during daylight hours.
According to the Chicago Police Department, the shooting occurred around 10:50 a.m. near 95th Street and Stony Island Avenue outside a KFC location. Officers were called to the scene after reports of gunfire, followed by a crash involving the victim’s vehicle.
When police arrived, they found Bobby Reed inside a white GMC, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency responders acted quickly, transporting him to the University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition. Despite efforts to save him, Reed was later pronounced dead.
