ST. PAUL, Minn. — A late-night shooting in downtown St. Paul has left the community grieving after 27-year-old Adarius Glees was fatally shot Thursday night, in an incident that has shaken family, friends, and residents alike. His sudden death has sparked both sorrow and urgent calls for answers.
According to St. Paul police, officers responded around 8:50 p.m. to the 200 block of East Seventh Street near Sibley Street after receiving reports of gunfire. When officers arrived, they found Glees outside an apartment building suffering from a gunshot wound, critically injured and in need of immediate medical attention.
In a heartbreaking detail revealed by investigators, Glees had reportedly called 911 himself after being shot, pleading for help as the situation unfolded.
